JÚLIO ALVES
Born in Lisbon in 1971.
From early on, he began working in film and participated in 14 feature films as an assistant director. "Afirma Pereira" with Marcello Mastroianni was one of those experiences of this phase.
In 1995 he made his first short film A Fachada (1995) followed up by O Despertador (1996), Alferes (2000), Ossudo (2007), O Jogo (2010) and 42, 195 KM (2010).
The first feature film The House (2012) made his debut at Indie Lisboa Festival in 2012.
The Return (2012) his second feature film, premiered in Doclisboa 12.
His last movie it's called Casa Manuel Vieira (2013) premiered at Doc Lisboa 2013.
Since 2000 he directed more than 200 advertisements for major brands and agencies in Portugal, Angola and Spain.
He is co-founder of One Shot Film Festival - a festival for advertising films with one single shot.
